Priyanka Chopra on her flops and future
Thursday, 18 September 2008
ImagePriyanka Chopra is not too worried that her last three releases (‘Love Story 2050’, ‘God Tussi Great Ho’, ‘and Chamku’) were dismal flops at the domestic and overseas box-office. “Four in a row, that’s when I need to worry,” Chopra reasons. The former Miss World now Bollywood A-lister has been a busy queen bee in 2008 with the aforementioned three releases and three more coming up later this year.

Chopra is reunited with her ‘Bluffmaster’ co-star Abhishek Bachchan in the superhero flick ‘Drona’ (2 Oct). In ‘Fashion’ (29 October), Chopra plays a small town girl from Chandigarh who finds fame as a supermodel in Mumbai, only to be disillusioned with the catwalk. She teams up again with Abhishek Bachchan and hunky John Abraham in the romantic comedy ‘Dostana’ (14 Nov).

What if these diverse films fail? “It’s devastating. People will reject 90 days of work in two hours.” So is Chopra happy with her current status quo in Bollywood? “I’m doing the biggest banners so it is not like I am out of work or people don’t like watching my movies!”
