 While Priyanka Chopra is riding high after winning the Filmfare best actress award for her role in Fashion, things are not hunky dory for her on another level. Known for her usually restrained image and ever so politically correct statements, Priyanka rubbed Aishwarya Rai Bachchan the wrong way while giving her thank you speech after she received the award. This incident follows Priyanka's fallout with once-upon-a-time good friend Abhishek Bachchan who too is upset with Priyanka for wanting to groove to the same song ('Ma da laadla' from Dostana) which he had selected for the same function.
Priyanka said that she was very happy to be nominated (Fashion, Dostana) among the likes of the beautiful Aishwarya Rai (Jodhaa Akbar) and the talented Kajol (U, Me Aur Hum). Priyanka's euphoric statement however hasn't gone down well with Aishwarya. |

 She donned trendy mini skirts and a bikini in Dostana and was an absolute stunner on the ramp in Fashion
, but Priyanka Chopra is going the de-glam way for Vishal Bharadwaj's Kaminay.
"In terms of look, it's definitely not glamorous. In fact, you don't really see me wearing too much make up in the film," Priyanka said.
Kaminay will be her first release of 2009 as a leading lady after a hectic 2008, which saw her featuring in six back-to-back releases - Love Story 2050, God Tussi Great Ho, Chamku, Drona, Fashion and Dostana.

 Priyanka Chopra has has had six major releases in the year 2008 which included Love Story 2050, God Tussi Great Ho, Chamku, Drona, Fashion and Dostana. Apart from which she has been endorsing a lot of brands. Her diverse brand protfolio includes Nokia, Tag Heuer, Ponds, Lux and Hero Honda. Priyanka is also known to be the most viewed celebrity second to King Khan as far as her endorsements are concerned. The actress has been refusing a lot of endorsements and wants to sign the correct brands and not overexpose herself now.

 Priyanka Chopra gets upfront on her lucky year in Bollywood and the good times ahead. It seems that Priyanka Chopra is getting used to the idea of receiving consecutive awards this year considering she has already won two best actress awards this year. "I think I've been lucky this year," she says. Which other actress did she think was her closest competition? "I think Aishwarya. She looked beautiful and was just fantastic in Jodha Akbar."
Last year, Dostana and Fashion had her in completely different characters. Both the films went on to be successful critically as well as commercially. Which role was more difficult to portray? "Both were challenging in their own way. For example, in Fashion I was portraying the central character and the entire responsibility was on my shoulders.

 Even as the rumours of a reported split up between Priyanka and her futuristic beau- the 2050 lad, Hurman Baweja make rounds; Piggy Chops seems to have moved on and is busy embracing a lovey-dovey relationship with yet another hunk. And against the popular opinion it’s not Shahid Kapur.
The dusky charmer has reportedly been linked with every hot bod actor she is seen sharing screen space with. Most recently it was her film ‘Kaminay’ co-actor Shahid, who was linked with the long legged lass. But if friends are to be believed Piggy is not dating Shahid or any Indian for that matter, as the lady has her heart set on Scottish actor Gerard Butler.
According to the grapevine, the duo met at the Atlantis launch in Dubai and have been in constant touch ever since. Sources tell us that the gorgeous twosome hit it off in a party organised by Shah Rukh in Dubai, after the inauguration of the luxury resort. |

 Priyanka Chopra and Aman Verma had dreams of setting up office in Kalpana Plaza in Mumbai. But their dreams were shattered when after four years of payment they still did not receive possession.
The building is still under construction and the builder has disappeared. The builder, none other than film producer N Kumar, producer of Vaastav (1999), refuses to take calls or meet his clients.
Those who had bought space in the building were promised possession by December 2005. It's 2009 and there is no sign of the money or the space. |

 Nowadays going de-glam is what every Bollywood actress is dreaming about. With the cut throat growing competition around, most of the A list glam gals are intending to shun their hot and glamorous image for once and let their role do their talking for them.
Bipasha Basu, Karishma Kapoor Rani Mukherjee have all done it. Katrina Kaif is the latest actress who will be going de glam for Prakash Jha’s Rajniti. But Priyanka Chopra does not believe in going de glam for a role in her film. When quizzed about it the actress says, “By taking off your make up you don’t become a better actor. I think that it is something to hide behind and say I am uninhibited. Half of Fashion I didn’t have make up. I will do it when needed not just to show that I am acting well. And I think that is a greater challenge for any actor.”

 Priyanka Chopra and her parents are preparing for a major upheaval in their family in 2009. Priyanka's 19-year old brother Siddharth leaves for Switzerland to train as a chef.
"That's right. My brother is leaving for this college in Switzerland early next year to train in the culinary arts and hospitality. And it's breaking my mom's heart. My brother has never been away on his own, not even for a day. How will he manage on his own? We're so anxious."
Priyanka's mother is planning to accompany Siddharth initially. "She'll probably get a cottage near his college and stay near him. But I feel he needs to grow up. He's 19. At 19 I was working. Siddharth is very passionate about cooking. Very few people have a chance in life to follow their dream."
